Taylor Swift and Paul McCartney will help induct the class of 2021 into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

When Carole King takes the stage for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a performer, she will enter the circle of honor with none other than Taylor Swift. On Monday (Oct. 18), the RRHOF Foundation announced its initial list of top stars, which also includes Beatles and solo legend Paul McCartney, who is doing the honors for the Foo Fighters, and Drew Barrymore, who is preparing the ground for The Go-Go.

The artists will take the stage at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio, on Oct. 30 to film the 36th annual ceremony, which will air on HBO on Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. ET. Other special guests include What Love Got to Do With It star Angela Bassett introducing Tina Turner and Lionel Richie introducing music artist/producer Clarence “Black Godfather” Avant to the Ahmet Ertegun Award, as well as appearances by Christina Aguilera, Mickey Guten, E. and Brian Adams.

At the time of publication, inductees for the 2021 inductees Jay-Z and Todd Randgren in the performer category, Kraftwerk, Charlie Patton and Gil Scott-Heron in the early impact category, and LL Cool J, Billy Preston and guitarist Randy Rhodes in the musical excellence category. had not yet been announced; Grohl was previously inducted into Nirvana, and King was inducted into Rock Hall as songwriter.

This year’s ceremony will be broadcast on HBO and on HBO Max, and will air simultaneously on SiriusXM Rock & Roll Hall of Fame radio (310) and Volume (106).
